Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

The much anticipated and hyped Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation* has finally hit Farmers! And how perfect is that timing with the holiday season coming up where we can expect photos galore?! This foundation basically sounds like a miracle worker. It has been formulated with light-diffusing particles to prevent white cast in photos (you know how sometimes your foundation looks perfect in person, but then your skin looks oddly white in photos? This is meant to stop that). Basically, this foundation is meant to make your skin look perfect, without the need for a filter!

The foundation is available in the 7 shades you see below (although it is available in more shades overseas, so hopefully we will see the shade range expand in NZ!).

From left to right: Soft Ivory, Nude Ivory, Rose Ivory, Soft Beige, Buff Bisque, Golden Beige, Bronze Beige.

For reference, I match the first shade, Soft Ivory and I'm about NC 15-20 in MAC foundations. I used this with the Maybelline Super Stay Primer, and as with most foundations, I applied it with a damp beauty blender. The formula does start to set quite quickly, but not so fast that you can't blend it out nicely. One thin layer gave me nice light coverage, and it was very easy to build it up more where I wanted to. I set the foundation with the Collection Cosmetics Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder.

I wore this from early afternoon through to about 10pm, and it lasted so well! With a lot of foundations, I find the area around my nose starts to melt off a bit and needs to be touched up, but this was fine all the way through. I have quite dry skin, and this is a matte formula, but it didn't make my skin look or feel dry. The finish is kind of like a soft matte. If you have extremely dry skin, you could use a more hydrating primer underneath.

I have to admit, I am extremely hard to please when it comes to foundations, and rarely depart from my Revlon Colourstay or L'Oreal Total Cover, but...this one has made the cut! I cannot fault the finish or the way it wears at all. What makes it even better is the fact that it is only $12.99!

Available from today from Farmers, here.
