8+ Minute Skincare Review

As we get further into winter, I don't know about you, but my skin throws a 3-month long tantrum where it is SO DRY. So this package from 8+ Minute Skincare could not have come at a better time. I have been trying 3 of their products - the Replenishing Hydration Masks, the SYN-AKE Restoring Eye Masks, and the Ginseng Infused Shampoo.

The Replenishing Hydration Masks

These are hydrating, toning and smoothing masks that come in packs of 7 (they also have a Goat Milk Rejuvenating Mask which sounds interesting too - let me know if you've tried it). I've been enjoying using these. They're nice and hydrating, and the serum doesn't feel too heavy on your skin. After I take the mask off, I rub in the excess serum and pop a moisturiser on top to lock it all in.

The SYN-AKE Restoring Eye Masks

These are anti-ageing, rejuvenating, and moisturising eye masks that come in packs of 5. These are made from the same type of material as sheet masks usually are. The serum is separate from the eye patches, so you need to squeeze the packet to break the seal in the middle so that the liquid soaks the patches before you open it. I like that they are quite big so they easily cover your whole undereye area. These were great, and my undereye area did feel smoother and more hydrated after.

The Ginseng Infused Shampoo

This shampoo is for thickening, strengthening, and nourishing. As well as being infused with Ginseng (there is quite literally a Ginseng root in the bottle - not going to lie, when I first saw it, it made me jump and I thought there might be an alien in there - but how cool that the star ingredient is visibly in there like that infusing into the product). One of my favourite things about this shampoo is that it is silicone-free. I've talked about this over on Instagram before, but in case you missed it I'll say it again here. Silicone is that ingredient that makes your hair feel AMAZING (to start with) but at a cost. It builds up on your hair and forms a barrier. That means moisturising products won't be able to actually reach your hair, resulting in dry, frizzy hair. Over time, it's also going to weigh your hair down. So silicone-free is a huge plus for me. I am a fan of this shampoo, and love that your hair actually gets that squeaky clean feeling after. If you need a bit more hydration after, chuck on a mask.

8+ Minute products are available from The Loop Duty-Free Auckland Airport, Chemist Warehouse, and Unichem.

Have you tried any of these products before?
