Your Winter Skin Saviour - The Dewy Skin Cream By Tatcha

You know if it's a brand Jeffree Star uses its got to be good right? Over the summer I used The Water Cream by Tatcha, which I loved, but I needed something a bit thicker for the cooler months so I decided to try out The Dewy Skin Cream.

What does Mecca say about it?

A rich, luxurious cream that deeply hydrates the skin, delivering a healthy, youthful glow in an instant. Best suited to those concerned about dryness, uneven texture and loss of elasticity. Tatcha’s signature Hadasei-3 blend of anti-aging Japanese superfoods, green tea, rice, and algae deliver essential nutrients for optimal skin health and youthful radiance.

Some have even said it'll make you look like a freshly steamed dumpling. I've never particularly thought about wanting to resemble a freshly steamed dumpling, but if I'm going to look like food, it might as well be like the surface of a smooth supple dumpling *shrug*.

After using it for around a month, I can confirm - this is good stuff. It is definitely super rich. You just need a tiny, tiny, amount. The little gold spatula it comes with on top is super handy for just getting a small amount out without having to stick your fingers in the jar. It's a great little edition having the spatula, not only because it makes it seem that much more luxe, but because I feel like it's kind of unhygienic dipping your fingers into the jar every day. An airless pump would make this even better.

I use this both in the morning and at night. Even though it is rich, it still sits nicely under makeup and doesn't make my makeup look any shinier than it normally would throughout the day. You might find it is a little bit too much for bare skin in the day though - without makeup on top it is very dewy -  obviously that's the idea, but if you want it more for the hydration rather than the super dewy look, I recommend using this at night time and The Water Cream during the day.

Using this in combination with the Summer Fridays CC Me Serum has left my skin looking much better than it usually does. I have zero dry patches, and zero complaints. I will definitely be repurchasing if I run out before the end of winter, and will resume with The Water Cream in summer.

So, consider me one happy freshly steamed dumpling.
