BH Cosmetics Pride + Prejudice Zombies Palette

I finally made my first BH Cosmetics order! I picked up this palette and the Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow and Blush Palette when they had their "buy one get 60% off a second" deal going. As you probably know, BH Cosmetics are super affordable and so even though I've heard so many good things about them, I wasn't expecting their eyeshadows/blushes/highlighters to be so pigmented. A few shades weren't as great, but overall I am super impressed and this palette has far exceeded my expectations.

This palette was a collaboration between Sony pictures and BH Cosmetics in celebration of the movie, Pride and Prejudice Zombies - has anyone seen it? Should I watch it? I'm not sure that it would be my kind of movie, but I'm glad it inspired this palette!

Luckily, even though the courier guy literally THREW the box at the door, the palettes were so well packaged that they were fine. BH does a really good job of making sure your products are nice and secure, which is awesome because it always feels a bit risky buying eyeshadows online because they are so fragile.

Above is the first row in the palette L-R bottom to top. The shades are absolutely gorgeous and with the exception of the first shade (the cream one) they are super pigmented. The fourth from the bottom is perfect as a crease colour. The third from the bottom is my favourite in the palette - it's the perfect shimmery champagne shade. They look and feel just like high-end shadows - amazing for $12.50USD!

Above is the second row L-R bottom to top. Again for some reason the lightest shade wasn't very pigmented and I had to layer it up to get it to show. The third and fourth shadows were also a little less pigmented, but still enough that I'm happy with them. The black shade is crazy pigmented - I barely had to touch it to get that strong colour pay off.

Above is the bottom row L-R bottom to top. I am OBSESSED with this row. The highlighter is gorgeous. It is a shimmery gold as you can see, but when it's blended onto the skin the gold isn't too intense, but still gives you that nice shimmer. Typically gold highlights don't work on me because I am quite pale, but this one is subtle enough to work. The first blush, in the middle is perfect for when you want something neutral when going for a strong eye look, or more natural makeup. The second blush is a nice coral pink with a little bit of gold in it. Both would work well on just about every skin tone.

I 100% recommend this palette. The quality is amazing, it is super affordable. It's also great for travelling since you've got a good range of eyeshadows (there are enough options to cover both day and night wear), blushes and a highlight. The only thing I wish this palette had was another matte eyeshadow or two since the majority are shimmery. Although, in saying that a couple of shades don't come off as shimmery as they look in the pan.

Have you tried anything from BH Cosmetics before? What would you recommend? I think I'll have to pick up the Shaaanxo palette and Carli Bybel palette next time!
