Botani Skincare Review

Botani is an Australian skin care brand which uses Olive Squalene in their products. Squalene is a naturally occurring substance that your skin actually produces itself. It is also found in olives. What does this mean? Olive Squalene absorbs easily into your skin to deeply deliver the products benefits. 

I was excited to try out a few products from this brand because they tick all of the right boxes. They don't test on animals, the products are vegan and they use all organic ingredients where they can.  

The first product I tried out was the Soothing Facial Mist*. It is designed for use on all skin types and is meant to be used after cleansing to refresh and hydrate the skin. It can also be used to set makeup and refresh your skin throughout the day. I was advised to use this first before the serum to soften the skin and boost hydration. I liked it, it did feel refreshing and hydrating and gave my skin that extra boost.

The next product I tried was the Olive Skin Serum*. The serum is for hydrating the skin, evening skin tone, smoothing fine lines, and wrinkles, improving scars and ages spots and repairing and protecting. I massaged this into my skin after spraying the facial mist onto my cleansed skin. It soaked into my skin nicely and also made my skin feel more soft and hydrated.

Lastly, I tried the PhytoBody Wash*. This was actually my favourite product! This smells SO nice! It's hard to describe it, but it smelt kind of fruity.  It foams up nicely as you would expect and does the job. I would purchase the full sized bottle for the smell alone.

Overall I was really impressed with the range and want to try more products in the future. I have been advised that they will stock the brand in New Zealand soon. I will update you with where when I find out. Until then, you can shop online at www.botani.com.au.
