This immediately caught my eye since it is ginger and lime scented and I've been obsessed with anything with lime in it lately! This is the Savar Spa Ultra Nourishing Body Butter*.
Savar products are made right here in New Zealand and are 99% natural. They contain ingredients such as blackcurrant seed oil, organic bilberry, marshmallow extract and other skin loving ingredients. There are two scents available for the body butter, this one and Pacific Coconut, which also sounds delicious!
It is a nice thick consistency, as you would imagine from a body butter and perfect for times like now where the weather has been super cold and harsh on your skin (and the perfect fresh scent for spring and summer too!). My skin has been drying out like crazy lately, to the point where my hands are actually cracking and bleeding because they're so dry. This product has really been helping to rehydrate my skin and get it back into its pre-winter condition!
One of the things I really love about this, is how it doesn't leave a sticky residue on my skin. I can't stand the feeling of greasy sticky skin and because body butters are generally quite thick and heavy, it is hard to find one that doesn't feel like that after. However, once this has soaked in, my skin feels soft, but it doesn't leave that annoying residue.
And, the scent did not disappoint! It smells so good! I can be pretty lazy when it comes to moisturising, especially when its cold and I don't want to stand around applying it when I get out of the shower, but because this smells so good, I actually look forward to using it.
At $45 it is a little bit more expensive than your average body butter, but it is well worth it. And as with all body butters a little goes a long way, so it will last you a long time.
