Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

The much anticipated and hyped Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation* has finally hit Farmers! And how perfect is that timing with the holiday season coming up where we can expect photos galore?! This foundation basically sounds like a miracle worker. It has been formulated with light-diffusing particles to prevent white cast in photos (you know how sometimes your foundation looks perfect in person, but then your skin looks oddly white in photos? This is meant to stop that). Basically, this foundation is meant to make your skin look perfect, without the need for a filter!

Australis KPOP Collection

Ok so straight away I think we can all agree that this collection wins for being the cutest we've seen this year! It's also cool to see more affordable brands coming out with fun collections like this. So, is it all frosting and no cupcake? (who knows what movie that was from?). I have put the collection to the test and have all of my thoughts and swatches for you below!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask

Thanks to Neutrogena, I have been able to test out their new Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask*  (RRP $79.99) over the past month. Light therapy is often used to treat acne but is typically done in clinics by dermatologists making it less accessible, more expensive and less convenient for the average person to do. This product uses the same kind of technology used by professionals, but at a lower level so that mild to moderate acne sufferers can take advantage of light therapy at home, easily and without the expense of seeing a dermatologist.

Movie Review - Annabelle: Creation

Why is it that dolls are so creepy? At least this one anyway. Annabelle: Creation is the second Annabelle movie, which as the name suggests is the prequel. The bad news is, if you've seen the first Annabelle and the Conjuring movies, you've basically seen this too. This is the same game, with new players.

Give Your Skin A Boost Of Hydration

Katherine Daniels is a British skin care range which has been developed by Kirsti Shuba and Donna Tait, who impressively have over 60 years of beauty therapy experience between them. I have previously tried out their Essential Exfoliating Gel which was great (super gentle and used kind of like a mask), so I jumped at the chance to try out this product, the Urban Shield Concentrate* - which is a favourite of Courtney Cox's, which gave me complete faith it in straight away - if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me! (And her skin is amazing!).

To Be Frank, You Should Start Scrubbing

Coffee scrubs have really changed the game when it comes to exfoliating. NOTHING gets the dead skin off of my scaly body like coffee scrubs do. Now that we're in winter, and the weather is sucking all of the moisture from our skin, exfoliating is even more essential to your beauty routine. So, let me tell you why Frank is my favourite guy to take a shower with.

Are The New KKW Beauty Contour Kits Worth The Hype?

So we all know Kim K is the queen of contouring. She was the first one who brought it to most people's attention and made it a trend. So of course, we wouldn't expect anything less than perfection from a contour kit that she came out with herself. I had high hopes for this kit, and will let you know whether they were let down or not below!

Movie Review: War For The Planet Of The Apes

I have been a Planet of the Apes fan for as long as I can remember. I think I wouldn't have even been over 5 when I first saw the original movies. We used to have an old box set of videos (yes videos - do kids these days even know what they are?), that I watched so many times. I remember being SO disappointed when one day I kept watching one of the videos past the credits and saw the "Making Of" documentary and found out that the apes were really people dressed up. I did have my suspicions, but I could ignore them until I saw that.

A Few Of My Favourites From The Manuka Doctor ApiClear Range

The ApiClear range products were the first that drew me to try out Manuka Doctor about a year and a half ago now, and I haven't stopped going back to them since (I am addicted to the ApiClear Purifying Facial Peel, but I'm not going to tell you about that one today, since I'm sure you've heard me talk about it 100 times before - but I really cannot recommend it enough!). If you're not familiar with the range, the ApiClear products are targeted at balancing the skin, which I'm sure a lot of us could use help with. There is no way I could ever pick just one favourite Manuka Doctor product, but these are two that I use on a regular basis, and I will tell you all about why today!

Eithne Curran Hair Treatment Review

I have the most dry hair you could imagine. Because it naturally has a mind of its own and makes me look like I've just stuck a knife in a toaster, I always blow dry and straighten it daily. As well as that, I've also gotten highlights put in a few times. All of that combined results in my hair essentially resembling straw, and so I was happy to be able to give this Restore Treatment from Eithne Curran a try.

I'm a huge movie fan, so it makes sense that now I'm expanding the blog into more lifestyle related content as well as beauty (of course), to include movie content! You might have seen me post the odd movie review in the past, which is now going to become a regular thing. Over the past few weeks, I have gone along to a few movie screenings (thanks 20th Century Fox NZ!), and I've got a run down of each one here for you. Keep reading to work out which movie you're going to see next!

Pre-Ageing Skin Care In Your 20's And 30's

I'm always down for trying something that will help slow down the appearance of ageing, so the new ANEW Retroactive Youth Extending range from Avon definitely appealed to me! The range is ideal for women in their 20's and 30's and helps to repair microdamage (damage which is invisible to the naked eye, but which eventually causes lines and wrinkles). I've been using the 4 piece range for approximately a month now, keep reading to find out what I thought.

Have a look below to see what was in this gigantic egg and what else I got!

The New Face Masks You Need In Your Life

I have been seeing the multi-masking trend all over Instagram for awhile now, with people overseas using these L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks, so when I saw all three of these masks in my goodie bag from the L'Oreal event I went to (you can read all about the event here), I was very excited!

Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask Review

This Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask* has quickly become one of my favourites and go to products for when my skin is being difficult. Read on to find out why. (Please excuse the fact that these photos are Christmas themed and it's February - I took these photos back in December before I used the product, and I can't take new photos now since I've been using it!).

An Interview With: Anne-Marie From Things Of Beauty!

Anne-Marie is a fellow NZ beauty and makeup lover, who has started a business named Things Of Beauty. She kindly sent me a few of the products she was selling (Anne-Marie is now focusing more on indie makeup, as you will hear about more below!) to try out. I thought it would be a fun idea to interview her and find out more about her and Things of Beauty!

It is always exciting to come across new makeup brands, especially ones that are affordable here in New Zealand. There is something to suit everyone with their bright fun lip and eye colours as well as classic every day staples. Simple Makeup Removers Review

I wear a full face of makeup just about everyday, and I am super pedantic about making sure every inch of it is off before I go to bed, so a great makeup remover is essential. I was sent a few different kinds of makeup removers by Simple. Read on below to find out more and what I thought about them!
